The fourth PTE Speaking task is re-tell lecture, and it looks and sounds like this
Okay, so how do you study this mysterious, Oregon? I mean you have
100 billion nerve cells little wisps of protoplasm
Interacting with each other and from this activity emerges the whole spectrum of abilities that we call human nature and human consciousness
You will hear a lecture or an interview you will then have only ten seconds to prepare.
You will then have 40 seconds to re-tell the lecture in your own words.
This task is pretty much impossible to do without notes
So while listening to the lecture or the interview take notes.
Write down key nouns and adjectives as you listen.
You should then turn these key words into a verbal summary of the lecture
Tip 2: Use the ten seconds preparation time
You only have ten seconds to prepare to speak it's not long at all
Use this time to take a deep breath and look at your notes
You will then have to turn your notes into a story
Keep your sentences simple and straightforward don't get too complicated
Focus on your delivery using your notes as a guide
